'Funk' is a music genre that originated in african american communities in the mid-1960s.
The style is a mix of soul, jazz, rhythm and blues.
The typical instruments are bass guitar, electric guitar, electric piano and conga.
The term "funk" comes from Anglo-American slang, which literally means "smelly", "something that smells of sweat", an insult traditionally addressed to Blacks by White conservatives.
The singer James Brown tried to synthesize all Black American music of the 20th century, he was considered as the godfather of funk.
We chose this track which was remixed in 2017. It is funk / electro.
